David, Matt, me and Peter enjoying our lunch

7:30 AM. Woke up and went straight for a shower. A good way to wake up. Gathered all my clothes
for laundry. I had some spare time before the laundry was done, so I went to the internet cafe
to check my e-mails. Also called home to inform them that I wouldn't come back before Thursday,
because I extended my holiday.
Back in the laundry room, I found out that my clothes weren't clean, because some wash powder
was still stuck on my clothes. What a mess! Needed to use the sink to get rid off the wash
powder. It was hard work to get it out. Finally done, I chucked all my clothes into the dryer.
It would take at least 45 minutes before the dryer was done.
I walked to the Paddy's Market to buy some souvenirs. The shirts were pretty cheap and had some
nice prints on it too. Ended with another bag of clothes, I walked back to the hostel. Put my
stuff away and went to the laundry to get my clothes.
Downstairs David, Matt and Peter were already waiting for me. We decided to go to Bondi Beach.
We took the train to Bondi Junction, from there we caught the bus to the beach. It was pretty
sunny today, but the weather forecast didn't look good. We walked along the walkway of the
beach and watched the beach life.
The beach was crowded with people soaking up the sun. Time for lunch! David who's living in
Sydney, knows a restaurant in the neighbourhood of Bondi Beach. There they serve really big
chicken schnitzels. Chicken sounds great!. After a big walk we arrived at the No Name Restaurant.
Not much people here so we could sit anywhere we wanted. Bought some drinks and looked at the
menu. Come on, chicken schnitzels! Once there were served, they looked really massive! For just
$ 10 AUD, they serve you two massive chicken schnitzels! I asked the waitress to take a photo
of us for the memories and then we dug in! Yummy!
After the delicious lunch we wanted to catch the bus to central. No bus stops to be found, so
we walked to the beach again. It started to rain a little bit. Fortunately I brought my backpack
along, otherwise my camera was soaking wet. Peter's camera could also fit in. Arriving at the
beach, it started to rain harder. Time to find shelter. A lot of people were running off the
beach to seek shelter. It started to rain really hard. Just a local shower, it comes and goes.
Back at Bondi Junction we caught the train to central. At Central Station we said goodbye to
David and decided to visit the Paddy's Market. We walked around a bit to buy some souvenirs.
Done shopping, it was time to say goodbye to each other. I walked back to the hostel.
Wrote my diary and rested a little bit. I was tired, needed some sleep, but there was so much
to do. I took the bus to the city centre and walked around till near closing time. At Metro's,
I bought some groceries. I didn't buy that much and tried to leave. The girl behind the counter
yelled: "Sir, you forgot your second bag!" Oops, thank you so much. All my groceries could
easily fit into one plastic bag, but now I had two. What a waste! On the way back to the hostel,
you had to wait a long time at the intersections, before you could cross the streets.
Today there were also some very strong winds. I got sand blasted and walked against the wind.
The weather changes so fast, like four seasons in one day. Walking to the hostel, I saw a cap
blown off from a man. He was chasing it across the street. Quite funny to see! It ended well,
because he got hold of his cap eventually.
I chucked my stuff away in my locker and it was time for dinner. Today noodles with chili and
crab from a cup. Only thing I need was hot water. In the kitchen there was hot water. In less
than one minute I was done. Sat down at the dining room, wrote my diary and enjoying my simple
dinner. Outside it was terrible weather, lots of rain and wind. After dinner, time to check
my e-mails. A nice and quiet evening. Called home if they need something from here.
Once outside the internet cafe, I walked back. Just around the corner I got almost blown away
by the strong wind. Quite funny to walk straight into the wind, leaning forward and let the
wind hold you up. Back in my room David, Abhirup and Jaime were talking. I joined them and we
talked where we're from and all other kinds of stuff. Around midnight I called it a night.
Time to get some sleep.
