FAQ

People are sending me e-mails about the trip and other relative things. Below you can read the frequently asked auestions (FAQ) and my answers.

Backpack or suitcase?
The backpack is my way of packing and travelling. You don't have to carry it all the time. It's more of getting stuff from A to B. The backpack is quite handy, because your hands are free and it's much easier to walk than dragging your suitcase behind you. A suitcase protects your stuff better than a backpack. Both are fine for travel. So, it depends on what you like the most of find suitable.

Dress code?
Dress code is mainly shirts/sweaters and shorts/jeans. For visits to clubs/cafe, etc. most people dress well (casual), which means no sneakers, just plain and clean walking shoes. It can happen that you're not allowed to enter, because you aren't wearing the right kind of clothes/shoes. So check out first or ask.

What for kind of clothes should I take with me?
It depends on in which periode you're going to visit Australia. I had about four sets of clothes with (1 fleece, 4 till 5 shirts, couple of underwear, 6 pair of socks, 2 jeans, 3 shorts). A multi-functional coat, which was also a raincoat. You don't have to bring your whole garderobe with you. You can also by new clothes in Australia.

Laundry
Nearly every place you'll have the opportunity to wash your clothes. You better ask the tourmanager. Travelling with a bunch of people, means they also have laundry, not to mentioning the visitors who are already there. It can be pretty crowded. Make sure you've have some coins and wash powder too, because first comes, first served!!!

Travelling alone
If you travelling alone, don't worry at all, because most of bunch is travelling alone and you can make friends a lot easier. Because you all are in the same situation. Travelling and having fun!!!

Contiki coach
The coach is fine has air-conditioning, radio, TV for long-distance rides and comfortable seats. Bring your own music and they even play your songs too!!! Tall people can better sit next to the pathway, they'll have more space for their knees.

Contiki stays
The accommodations where Contiki stays, are pretty good and clean. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, sometimes with TV. Most rooms has also a shower and a toilet. You're staying with two till four people in one room. Except the farmstay, where you'll be staying with ten till twelve people. No mixed rooms, which means only boy rooms and girl rooms.

I hope this answer some of the questions. Let me know if you have any other questions. Just sent me an e-mail, i'm gladly to answer them.
