The Australian sun is unbelievably hot. Use a good sunblock lotion to protect your skin against the dangerous sun rays. You can easily get sunburnt, before you even know it. Apply sunblock all over your body (like your face, shoulders, arms, legs and your back).

Wearing a hat or cap, helps protecting your face. In and around the water you need to wear sunblock if you decide to stroll along or swim, because the reflection from the sun, even on a cloudy day, can give you a nasty sunburn.

If you get sunburnt, buy Aftersun with Aloe Vera in it. It helps you cool down and moisturising your burned skin. Also it helps you to recover faster, than if you don't use it.

Valuables things like, cameras, camcorders, jewelry, etc. can be best store in a locker. People on holiday are less cautious than usual. Hey, i'm on holiday, time to relax! Nothing wrong with that, but it can be a real bummer when you find out that your valuables are gone.
